Support live jazz in the Greater Lafayette Area!

New in the 2011–2012 season: • Thanks to the generous support of our 2010–2011 Mentors Club members, non-member Student admission to regular season events is now just $5, and is free to Jazz Club student members. Thanks, mentors!
Continuing in the 2011–2012 season: • Each Jazz Club membership ($50) includes a guest pass to be used once during the season (member admission price applies) • Each Student membership ($20) includes a guest pass to be used once during the season (student member admission price applies) • New levels of additional support: |
Each regular season event is open to the public, with an admission price of $25 for non-member adults, but Jazz Club members receive admission to each event for the discounted price of $10, along with preferred seating at regular concerts and a guest pass to use one time during the season.
For students, admission price is $5 for non-members, but Jazz Club student members receive free admission to each event, along with preferred seating at regular concerts and a guest pass to use one time during the season.
Annual membership dues are $50/adult or $20/student. The Jazz Club is a non-profit organization, so your annual dues are tax-deductible.
Your membership in The Jazz Club will support respectable musicians’ fees worthy of their skill and talent, that will allow and expect rehearsal time associated with all performances so the musicians will not have to wing it the day of, an all too common state of affairs in the jazz world these days. This means that your membership will guarantee that you get to hear high-quality performances of exciting and original music by ensembles of local and regional musicians who have had the opportunity to form a bond and develop a musical chemistry prior to their performance, recognizing the distinction between the improvised and the impromptu.
Each performance will also include an AFTER WORDS session, a post-performance discussion during which you will have the opportunity to interact with the musicians and engage them in a discussion of their music, that day’s performance in particular and/or jazz in general, in the spirit of the mentorship which has been the essence of jazz education and tradition since the beginning.
Membership in The Jazz Club will also include your invitation to an exclusive fifth LIVING ROOM summer celebration event that will take place in a private home.
The Jazz Club tax-deductible membership benefits include:
• Reduced ticket prices to four concerts per season (September to April)
• Preferred reserved seating at concerts
• One-time guest pass (member admission price applies)
• Invitation to a members-only 5th concert: Jazz in the Living Room, held at a private home during the summer
